According to WWD, the nail art craze that swarmed the fashion industry in 2011 is on the way out. Cue quiet sigh of relief.

Eva Chen's on a nail art detox (and Anna Wintour published a story about it); and Marc Jacobs declared 'clear' as his favorite nail colour at his autumn/winter '13/'14 show.  

Yes, we may be jumping the gun a bit, but if the figures reported by WWD hold true, nail art's popularity is waning, so, what's next?

Nudes, neutrals and pretty, pastel colours, as seen on the autumn/winter '13/'14 runways at Christian Dior, Céline and Chanel.
